Comparing fitness culture of two different areas

Comparison in Fitness within different areas
Aside from watching different people in malls, we have also made observance onto their leisure, in this case the fitness leisure to be found in SM and to compare it with the fitness aerobic culture of that in UPLB.
In the mall
Aerobic in the mall is visibly pretty much more of a spectacle for passers-by rather than a place to really do work-outs. For starters, the mall only does it within a space in the cyberzone, second I personally find the mall as not an optimal place for effective work out area simply because first, it’s a mall. Dancing, doing punches and all is done in the middle of the shopping area where joining in is quite discourage because of the number of passers-by looking at you. I find it a bit embarrassing because of all the eyes looking at you. Also, the air-conditioning also keeps you from sweating and oddly enough there is this guy who seems to be checking the progress of the participants which I find a bit annoying. The area is filled with distractions and that it also started a little late. The aerobics proper is filled with people mostly of women with the exemption of one guy, and he’s gay. Their participation is not that lively and it can be said that the aerobics itself is not that long given the time constraints within the mall. The aerobics can be said to cater towards those employees mostly above their 40s and older women. They often go there simply for meeting with their own peers as we notice a lot of them chattering before the program begun.
In UPLB
The hall in UPLB creates a whole different atmosphere to us compared to when we observed the mall. Here we see a much diverse number of people. One could say that it is here where we could see people actually coming to socialize and exercise. I said this because we came there at the morning wherein the university becomes more of a park open for everybody. Unlike in the mall, the people he consists of much different people from different social class. We could easily distinguish them through their accessories. People who are better of, often wears branded sports clothing like Nike and Addidas cross trainers, dri-fit tops and cycling and or dri-fit shorts for men. Some of them could even be seen to have other accessories such as earphones. We could see here that perhaps due to the size of the venue, there is quite a lot of people participating, there are almost no one simply sitting down, except of course for people passing through perhaps students and the observers which is us. The place was very comfortable as everyone is doing their own thing, and that no one would look at you should you start goofing off while trying to do the work out. I find it very comforting personally as I joined the work out myself and it didn’t feel awkward at all. Everyone is so participative; in fact people just kept on coming in to work out. This only goes to show that the venue is a factor when it comes to conducting and participating in something, in this case a mall caters to those people often trying to put a little bit of work out into their hectic lives, specifically the employees of the mall itself. UPLB on the other hand caters to a wider variety of people specially families of different status, the large venue actually focuses onto working out and since it is a Sunday morning it basically turns into one big gym campus. People come there specifically to work out, there are no shops for distraction and the there climate is optimal for sweating.
